Knew David at Troy, am floored to hear of his passing. Had a lot of really good laughs together, chow hall, rugby, social events. Solid guy, stedfast, positive, all around good person. My condolences to all who were close to him.

I just learned of his passing and am saddened to hear this. This guy taught me a lot that helped me in The Army. He opened his new gym in 1998 and I started then. He really believed helping people get healthy and fit, above profit. He pushed me to try harder and be better. I am glad he was an influence on me and I took his words to share with others. He was a great guy and mentor.

I just learned today that David had died. It's really weird as he had been on my mind the last week. i trained with David for a few years at MAC and was his first member when he opened Hogan's Gym. I still workout there, but now to help fight Parkinson's. David was a sweet man and always had his infectious smile on his face. He will be missed by a lot of people. My heart felt feeling go to his family.

David and I played football together at Troy State. David was a great friend, had a tremendous sense of humor and could always find the bright, positive side of any situation. His life was an example of hard work, perseverance and he left this world a better place with his life as an example. David was a good man; my heartfelt sympathy to his family.

So sorry to hear of the "much to early in life" passing of a great friend and Troy State team-mate. But, David, you did leave us with some great memories. "Thanks for always being there"

Hogan and I go back to the summer of 1975 when we both attend Troy freshman orientation. We shared many classes together and many fun times. We reconnected 4 years ago at a Troy football game and talked several time a year. He checked on me a lot in the past year (after my bypass surgery)....encouraging me with positive reinforcement and his crazy humor! For this, I will be forever grateful! David was a great football player, classmate, and friend. He will be missed and remembered by all of his fellow Trojans!

David was a great guy and I knew him when he opened Hogan's Gym. He talked me into getting certified as a step - aerobics instructor there , and I did and taught for 11 years. He was a lot of fun and a serious business man. We will miss him.

I knew David as a runner and business owner, met him in the 80's. One of the nicest people I ever met. He beat me in Brand new shoes in the Jubilee 10k, passing me in the last 2 miles. I know he rests at peace, My condolences to his family.
