David HOWARTH Obituary
September 4, 1941 – January 21, 2016
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of David Howarth with family by his side at the Rockyview Hospital. David is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Teuny; children, Sharon (Adam) and Andrew (Carolyn); granddaughter, Olivia; sisters, Anne Poffenroth (Garry), Heather Howarth (Stan), and Beth Howarth; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Graeme and Audrey Howarth, and stepmother, Polly. David was a native Calgarian who deeply loved his family and will always be remembered for his selfless nature and unique sense of humour. He took particular joy in the family's many pets and was an active member of the Calgary Aquarium Society. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute or to St. Giles Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church (1102 23 Ave NW) on Tuesday, January 26 at 2 p.m.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of David's passing. He will be missed by so many. He was a true gentleman, with unending love for his family. His thoughtfulness, wisdom and sense of humor will always be remembered.
I have many happy memories of working with David at Atlas TV for a number of years, also many family visits, movies, and outings.
My deepest sympathy to Teuny and family.

Dear Howarth Family. I fondly remember David as a coach and mentor at Morley Trail Drug Store. He was about 25 and I was 16 at the time. David kindly and gently taught me the art and science of retail sales and service. That was a long time ago but I shall always remember the way he guided me to acquire basic skills in sales and customer relations. David and I used to compete for customer sales. David .. was a true gentleman with a keen mind and a great sense of humour.
We feel blessed to have known him and remember fondly the great discussions we shared together.

DAVID .. A true Gentleman, with a keen and brilliant mind. We were honoured to have known him, laugh at all his jokes and enjoy our stimulating conversations over politics, and world affairs.
We will miss David very much.
He is in his Father's house .. and
" Eye hath not seen or ear heard of all that the Father has prepared for those who love Him".

David was a great contributor to CAS. For many years he operated the concession,bringing the food and drinks to every meeting. I especially loved the home made cookies and treats. Dave will be missed by all. He was a great man by all who knew him.
