On behalf of the Optimist Club I would like to recognize Dave for his charitable service as an Optimist. One unique project he supported was the communications group for the visually challenged; now known as the Brail Tone College Club. This group has operated for over thirty years. Other Optimist activites of Dave include Charter member of the Leduc Black Gold Optimists.

Our condolences to Priscilla. We are so sorry to hear of this loss.

My deepest condolences to Priscila and the Hrabi's family.

Don't cry for me today,
I wouldn't want it this way.
Be strong and smile,
for you will see me in a while.
I know you miss me,
but now in Heaven I will be.
Do not keep your sad face,
I am in a much better place.
Do not let your tears fall,
for I cannot wipe them all.
Yes, my life wasn't long.
But I'm begging you to be strong.
Live every moment as if it were your last,
I won't forget any memories that have passed.
Cherish life and love as I watch you from above.
As I remember all of the good things,
I come to see I have gotten my wings.
It is time to go and fly,
as your guardian angel I will try.
Don't cry for me today,
I'm on my way.
Soaring through the sky,
I watch all of you telling me goodbye.
I am sure you touched every person's you knew heart with your kind heart my friend, including me because you were a compassionate, cool, and a really decent human being David.

I will forever miss you David.

Cristina.

Having known Dave for almost 20 site folk festival seasons has been a pleasure. Dave was always one to make others feel welcome and part of the site family. Dave's gift to us was just to be Dave, friendly, funny, open and honest in good times and bad, which was always refreshing. Dave will be missed but his friendship and laughter will never be forgotten.

My dear friend Dave,

When I found out about your sudden death, I was devastated. Instantly, I started bawling, to think I'll never get to hear your crackling voice or see your big goofy smile again, breaks my heart. Your life was taken way too soon. You're charismatic attitude and big personality will forever be missed by all the people you've touched. My most heartfelt condolences go out to your amazing wife, your parents, siblings and niece and nephew - all who you literally talked about all the time. :)

As I sit here now, I can't help to think about all the hilarious moments I've had with you. You always knew how to put a smile on my face. I want to teach other people what you've taught me. First off, life is way too short, so be happy! And be happy in everything you do. Second, make people laugh and be goofy! Third, it doesnt matter what society says and stereotypes should never matter - every individual should have their own identity. People should learn to like other people for who they are on the inside. Over the past years, ive really gotten to know you, for you! And I wouldnt have changed a single thing about you. Wait, there is one thing, just to join the fitness journey with me! We NEED more people like you in the world Dave.

Forever my dear friend,

And until we meet again Crabby Hrabi,

Melissa Striker
