David Hutchison Obituary
He was born Jan 21, 1929 in McClure, IL to Andrew and Alice (Groves) Hutchison. He married Betty Jo West Oct. 28, 1950 in Elco, IL. at the home of Betty's sister Reba and Jesse White. She survives along with two daughters: Deborah (Charles) Galbreath of East Peoria, Terri Hutchison of Pekin, two sons: David "Mike" (Suzan) Hutchison of Marion, Indiana, Rick (Kathy) Hutchison of East Peoria, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Randy Hutchison of Tennessee, two very close cousins: Doris (Jr) Rhodes of Jonesboro, IL, Birdiann Koch of Tucson, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and aunt and uncle: Hiram and Josephine Groves (whom helped raise David) one sister, Ruth, one brother, Paul, and one half brother, Arthur.
David served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Following the war David became a Welder and a Welding Inspector for Caterpillar, Inc. retiring after 30 years in 1984.
He was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Tamms, and a member of Richland Southern Baptist Church in East Peoria. David was a passionate family man, a God loving man, and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was a member of the UAW Local 974 and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Anna, IL.
A local visitation will be Monday Aug. 15, 2011 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, IL. Rev. Clint Nail will officiate. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home.
Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery in Dongola, IL.
Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.

Dave was an inspiration to all who knew him. His love for his family and his Lord was apparent to all who met him.
