I went to university in Montreal with David. Then joined him as an honourary deckhand on the Comanchero II. A great guy and missed.

I had only moved into the Yarrow Building a couple of days earlier in 1993 when a kind gentleman walked into my store and said "Hi. My name is David and I own the building. Welcome!" I found out his office was 2 doors down. I got to know him through his drop in visits (with stories) over the next 26 years, at a couple of music events I invited him to, and through his going to bat for me when I needed an advocate during lease negotiations with the property manager. His health had taken an obvious change in direction when he dropped in recently and that, sadly, was the last time I saw him. You were very helpful and fair to me David and I will never forget you. My deepest condolences to Peter and Stephanie and all of David's family. I will miss his visits, his stories, his wit, and his smile. God Bless.

I had some great words but they didn't get printed. All about adventures with David. Well thought out , a perfect forager, wonderful food stories and awful jokes!! I can still remember the jokes and the make me cry overtime. You were a wonderful friend and a man like few other. Much love and respect to you/

David's life long sense of fun, curiosity and anything for an adventure were legendary. Combined with his intellect, capable food foraging, be it in, on, under or above the ground made no difference. Nor did the sea! I cannot think of another man who held so much so generously. And the jokes! I cried every time!
with love to you David and many fond memories.xox

Sincere condolences to those left behind, and prayers that David is not just at peace but thoroughly enjoying the next chapter in his life.

I am deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. I will always be grateful for the adventures we shared in our early lives together. We remained friends and from time to time shared dinner or lunch together just to check in and ensure each was doing well. After my move to Mexico we lost touch which makes it doubly hard to hear of his passing. Please accept my deepest condolences ...sincerely Daphne Peerless

My partner for many years on myriad fishing expeditions and shooting trips both on the Island and on the Prairies.

Sad to see him leave so early.
