David Isleib Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 26, 2021.
David Arthur Isleib, 60, of Enfield CT passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021 from complications related to lung cancer. Dave was a private person. He did not want to burden others nor cause them concern over an extended period of time, so his diagnosis was shared only with immediate family members and a few friends. He withstood the disease and the side effects of the treatments always trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and resting in God's good and perfect plan for his life. Dave was born in Manchester CT, living most of his life in New England. He was a faithful husband, loving father, proud Papa, generous neighbor, and a man of God. He was skilled at anything he determined to do. Dave was a veteran, serving proudly and honorably in the US Army as a machinist. He worked as a machinist at Pratt and Whitney, owned Mountain City Cycle bicycle shop in Tolland and was a licensed fire sprinkler fitter. He was known for his steadfast love and care for his family, friends, and neighbors, willing to help anyone as had need. David will be dearly missed and always remembered, but we know he is already in God's presence, where there is fullness of joy and pleasures for evermore. He is predeceased by his mother, Gail Benton Isleib. David is survived by his beloved wife Karen Isleib, his daughter Jessica Hastillo and her husband Allan of Ellington CT, his son Douglas Isleib and his wife Carly of Chesapeake VA, his father Douglas Isleib of Gilmanton Ironworks NH, his sister Kristy McAvoy and her husband Joe of Enfield CT, his sister Deanne Carter and her husband Michael Schutt of Tolland CT, his grandsons Allan Joseph Hastillo and Edward David Hastillo, as well as his nieces and many others he considered family. His funeral will be held at Christ Proclamation Church 100 Pigeon Hill Road, Windsor CT on Wednesday January 5, 2022 with visitation at beginning at 5pm, service following at 6pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Dear Karen, Jessica, Doug and family,
I am so very sorry for your incredibly loss.my heart was broken to hear this news.
I really enjoyed your Dad and bible studies at their home. He always kept us on track and time :)
He had a wonderful blend of compassion and discipline. I asked one time when he was working in heath care, caring for those who couldn't care for themselveshow do you do what you do, caring for those who often oppose your help. He said I look at my self as a parent , and I care for them in that way as a loving parent would do. I thought, that is a beautiful way to to care! I held that word of wisdom in my heart and was reminded often as I helped to guide others.
Please know You all our in our hearts and prayers!
Much love and comfort Pastor Jamie LaFond Stoddard and family.

My Condolences and Prayers to Karen and family, his father, Douglas, siblings: Kristy and family, Deanne and family. I was happy I had the chance to get to know Dave, even though it was a short time. He was so warm and loving and I could tell he was a very religious man of God. I'm sure he is holding spots for all of us. Till we meet again. God Bless. Linda

My dear son David will be missed so much by me and all who knew him. I think of the many good times we had together, especially those many times spent trolling for trout. We did so much talking and laughung then. David was a responnsible hard working son and he had very strong religious beliefs. I know that he is with God and no longer suffering the terrible pain from cancer. I love him and will be with him forever. God Bless Dave and our family.
Love Dad
