GREENSBORO - David J. Jones, 34, of 5807 Cates Dr., Greensboro, N.C., died Saturday, June 2, 2007, in the Carolina Medical Center, Charlotte, N.C., from an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be held 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Coolican-Mc Sweeney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, Oneida. Interment will be in St. Patricks Cemetery, Oneida, N.Y.
A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Lambeth Troxler Funeral Home, 300 West Wendover Ave., Greensboro, N.C.
Born in Oneida, N.Y., he was the son of William F. and Patricia (Bentley) Jones Sr. David graduated from Oneida High School in 1992, and was a supervisor, employed by Archer Western Co., Morrisville, N.C.
He is survived by his father, William F. (Marie) Jones Sr., Oneida; his mother, Patricia (Thomas) Tarry of Oneida; two sisters, Sally (Jeff) Servello of Utica, N.Y. and Sara Jones of Oneida, N.Y.; two brothers, William (Claudette) Jones of N.C. and Danny (Wendy) Jones of N.C.; one stepbrother, Thomas Tarry Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.
David is predeceased by his brother, Matthew M. Jones, December 19, 2002.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Coolican-Mc Sweeney Funeral Home Inc., 323 Washington St., Oneida.
Donations in David's name may be made to Madison County Children's Camp/Camp, P.O. Box 753 Oneida, NY 13421.
