David Bruce Kelly

August 3, 1960 - August 6, 2025

David Bruce Kelly, age 65, passed away unexpectedly in his home in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 6, 2025. David was born in Bethesda, Maryland on August 3, 1960 as the oldest son of Virginia Mavis Kelly (Nordlund) and James H. Kelly Jr..

In David's early school years he attended St. Mary's International School in Tokyo, Japan from 1968 to 1971. Afterwards, he and his family returned home to Bethesda, Maryland where David continued public school until the family moved back overseas to Taipei, Taiwan in 1975. David attended Taipei American School until his graduation in 1978. Upon graduation, David joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Lackland Air Force base. He attained the rank of Senior Airman (E4) with the USAF Security Police. After David received his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force he worked in the private sector with companies such as Paccar Parts in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in various supervisory roles. In 2022, at the age of 62, David decided to finally retire.

David was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Redskins. He had an unsurpassed knowledge of all sports and team statistics. David coached many youth sports teams over the years and was always proud of his players' growth and achievements. David played several sports himself from football and baseball at Taipei American School to Rugby in several local leagues in Lancaster, PA. His other passions were his dogs, Borgey and Ekika, he had over the years and his interest in cooking.

David was a widower to Caron Kelly (2016), the mother of his three boys. He is survived by his brothers Joe (63) and Chris (44), his sons Greg (38), Andy (36), and Brandon (33). David is preceded in death by Virginia Mavis Kelly (mother) and James H. Kelly Jr (father).

David's Inurnment Service will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.
