When Dave and Leona were very young Dave became the bank manager in Hazelton. We have never forgotten them and the links of friendship are still strong in our community. Wherever he originated and wherever he has gone does not take away from our feeling of ownership of Dave Lattimer as one of our own loved and valued community members. It is very hard to say good bye to this lovely man who left such a strong memory of kindness, friendship, integrity and courage in our hearts, even after all these years. For us, he will live forever.

David was our family banker when he was stationed in Port Alberni and as luck would have it, Dave, Leona and the boys became wonderful family friends. I will always remember Dave as a kind, considerate and gentle man whom I will miss and who I am so honored to have known. My thoughts are with Leona, Scott, Kelly Bradley and families during this very difficult time.

I had the honor & priveledge to work with and for Dave in Prince Rupert, together with many gatherings at Dave & Leona's home. He was truly one of a kind, my heart goes out to his family.
