LATTIMER David Andrew October 12, 1928 - March 15, 2009David passed away peacefully at home Sunday March 15th, 2009. Husband to Leona, brother to Betty, father to Bradley, Scott and Kelly, Grandfather to 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. David worked 40 happy years with the Royal Bank of Canada. David will be missed by many close friends. This last year, David was cared for at home by so many wonderful people. David's caregiver for the last year, Jerwin was like an angel giving David such loving care. Our grandson Peter was always there for his Grandfather. The family is grateful to all. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Milner Chapel, PO Box 177 Milner, BC V0X 1T0. Celebration of Life to be held at: Milner Chapel, 6716 - 216th Street Langley, BC 604-534-0006, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 2:00pm.

When Dave and Leona were very young Dave became the bank manager in Hazelton. We have never forgotten them and the links of friendship are still strong in our community. Wherever he originated and wherever he has gone does not take away from our feeling of ownership of Dave Lattimer as one of our own loved and valued community members. It is very hard to say good bye to this lovely man who left such a strong memory of kindness, friendship, integrity and courage in our hearts, even after all these years. For us, he will live forever.

David was our family banker when he was stationed in Port Alberni and as luck would have it, Dave, Leona and the boys became wonderful family friends. I will always remember Dave as a kind, considerate and gentle man whom I will miss and who I am so honored to have known. My thoughts are with Leona, Scott, Kelly Bradley and families during this very difficult time.

I had the honor & priveledge to work with and for Dave in Prince Rupert, together with many gatherings at Dave & Leona's home. He was truly one of a kind, my heart goes out to his family.
