AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. David Jesse Lee, 67, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013. He was a native of Savannah but a resident of Augusta since 1985. Mr. Lee graduated from Carlisle Military Academy and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country in Turkey and Vietnam. Mr. Lee worked as a sales representative with Freightliner of Augusta for many years. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Karen Lee and his sister, Carole Lee. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Savannah. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4115 Columbia Road, Suite 5-333, Martinez, Georgia 30907.

Carole,
I am so sorry about you and you sister in law's loss. I was unaware of his passing. He was always good to me and it was always in fun that I gave him a hard time. He helped me in a lot of ways to learn about trucks. The most important thing was that he was always honest with me and I trusted him as both a friend and "true" salesman.

I knew David for practically my whole life. He worked for my daddy, Harold Hughes. I cannot remember a time when he was not kind and jovial. He gave me much advice as I was growing up and all of it was coveted and appreciated. Heaven has certainly gained a precious angel.
