I refinished hardwood floors David at his house on Jones St & well as several other properties he owned.he was a very resourceful & forthright person.i remember my son needed some chicken wire to make a volcano for a school project.i asked David where to buy some & he pulled a huge roll from under his house & asked me if that would be enough. we laughed & I still have the volcano. David was very detailed oriented & was appreciative of work & liked to help.he used to entertain my son on projects.i miss him & think of him often. David you were one of the good guys.

I am so sorry for your loss and pray you find comfort in knowing David is now in the embrace of a loving and compassionate God. I found much to admire about him, especially the importance he gave to the work ethic and to self-reliance, values to said he learned from his family. I saw a beautiful nobility of spirit in the consistency and integrity with which he lived out these values. I will miss him and our times together. He will always remain in my heart and be in my prayers.

My deepest condolences. Dave has been a terrific friend for over 30 years and I can’t seem to find the right words to truly express how much he will be missed. He was a person you could always rely on for sincere, loyal friendship; an unselfish helping hand; good, stimulating conversation; and trusty advice. Dave was always there when you needed him and put the needs of those around him first. He was one of a kind and I’m lucky to have had him as a best friend for so long. We’ll miss you, Dave!

I met David last year when I was helping my daughter, who attends SCAD, move into a house that David owned. He was so accommodating in making sure that the girls were comfortable and safe and that us mothers were happy. I enjoyed talking to him -- he was a very intelligent man. I am so sorry for your loss.

I was fortunate to have served with David in the same militaty unit. Although David was significantly higher rank than me he was always very personable and friendly. I lost touch with David after I left the service until I passed him in the hallway at work, after a 15 year time span Sgt. Lucas and I still recognized each other! I will miss chatting with David about our service time together and send condolences to his family. God bless you David.

I am deeply saddened at the news of David's death and will keep him in my prayers. I own the house next to his on Jones St and frequently asked for his help and advice on maintaining these old homes. He was generous in his help and I knew I could always call on him for long distance assistance and guidance. My sympathy to the family, I will miss his friendship and his sympathy for me working on our houses.
