David August Maselli

David August Maselli, 86 passed away Friday November 11, 2022, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community

Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC after a brief illness surrounded by family.

Born July 2, 1936, in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of the late Felix Maselli and Minnie Maselli.

David is survived by his brother Carmen "Nucci" Maselli (Dianne), nieces Dr. Lisa Maselli (Robert

Horvath) and Amy Maselli (John Ribble IV) and grandnephew Harrison Horvath.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Anthony Maselli and nephew David

Maselli.

After graduating Fairmont State College and WVU School of Pharmacy, he worked as a pharmacist for

over 50 years at Sixth Street Pharmacy in Fairmont and Rite Aid Pharmacy at various locations around

the state of WV until he retired in 2011 at the age of 75. During his working years, he impacted the lives

of many, he truly enjoyed speaking with and helping people every day. A devout catholic, he was at

cantor at both St. Joseph and St. Peter the Fisherman churches in Fairmont, WV. He was a member of

the Knights of Columbus in Fairmont and the West Virginia Pharmacist Association.

David was a devoted son, and loving brother and uncle. He most enjoyed spending time with his family,

especially his many first cousins. He loved visiting with his nieces Lisa and Amy and attending their

many school, dance and other events as children and continued to support them in their adulthood

through his presence at their graduations and wedding. He enjoyed attending birthday parties and

special occasions for his grand nephew Harrison Horvath. He was proud of his Italian heritage and

looked forward to attending the Italian Heritage Festival annually in Clarksburg, WV.

He moved to The Palmettos of Garden City, assisted living, in SC in August 2018 near family and enjoyed

leading his fellow residents in song during mass. He was an avid Sequence and Bingo player and enjoyed

the lively conversation of others.

A Christian burial mass will be celebrated on November 19, 2022 at 10:00 am, at the Precious Blood of

Christ Catholic Church, at 1633 Waverly Road, Pawleys Island, SC. The interment will follow in the

Columbarium at the church. All family and friends are invited to attend.
