He was my rugby coach and teacher at Burnaby South. Larger than life. I am now a teacher and have told a story or two about him to my students. Wish I could come.

My sincere condolences to David's family. He was my Coach, my Captain, my Mentor. He lead by example both on and off the field, a more competitive man I have never met. Rest in Peace my friend and have a cold pint waiting for me when I join you.

Dave and his cohort Wally Richardson introduced the game of rugby to me and my grade 8 classmates. That was in 1967. It was a life changing moment to say the least. Life without the influence of Dave would have been very different. With his passing, the rugby community lost a great friend.
Dave's class act has touched so many people.
One my first memories of Dave was after training, eight or nine guys piling into his ugly 'baby blue' station wagon and him dropping each of us off along his way home.....I lived on Griffiths St near Dave and was always the last out. You can't manufacture memories like the ones I have of Dave
Condolences to his family.
David Milne, one of the good guys!
