Oler Family,
It is with great sadness that I learn of this news. David and I were very close growing up. I considered David to be my best friend for many, many years. We played countless games of whiffle ball and touch football (That always ended in full-blown tackle!). We wrestled and swam in your pool every day and shared in general mischief. David and I RAN that block! Lol
David and I lost touch when he left for the Airforce but I always considered him a great friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that God brings you peace and understanding.

To the Oler Family:
Mike, so saddened to hear of the passing of your son David. I don't believe I ever met him but I'm sure he was a great man as his father. May God bless David and the Oler Family in this time of need and always be blessed with his memory.

Mike & Carol, So sorry for your loss. Ernie enjoyed having David on his Little League team & was fond of your family. Wish I had know all of you better.
Unfortunately, Ernie has just passed on, himself. He passed on 6-2-17. He had several health issues, but we didn't expect him to go suddenly. His obituary is in the Louisville Courier-Journal dated 6-11-17.

I am grateful for the few years that Dave spent in Austin, TX and for the adventures we shared. These include the camping trips to Pace Bend park, our late night trips to Mexico and the worst car trip ever when I helped him move to Phoenix and every car he owned broke down in the middle of nowhere of west Texas. I will always remember Dave as a humble and very loyal friend. Fare thee well my old friend.

Mike, Carol, Leslie and Susan: I'm so sorry to hear about David. I still remember babysitting all of the kids. Praying for peace and comfort for the family.
