David C. Pitts

David (Dave) Pitts was born in June 1957 to Bill and Dorothy (Dottie) Pitts. The baby of three kids, he made life interesting right from the start. He grew up in Maryland and remained there throughout his life. At 17 years old, he enlisted in the Navy where he was stationed on an aircraft carrier. That is where he learned the trade that would provide for his family, diesel mechanic. He was a master mechanic and lived by the phrase "if I can't fix it, it ain't broke"

Dave was a family man and loved his family and friends fiercely. Everyone who ever met him has a story about him or remembers one of his "dad-isms." He enjoyed so many activities from boating to camping to riding his motorcycle. He worked hard and he played hard.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Karen, brother Matt, his daughters Valerie, Kelly, and Jessica and sons-in-law Karl and Marvin. He is also survived by the true loves of his life, his grandchildren Dakota, Chelsey, Chase, and Aiden. Also, several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews as well as countless friends.

He wasn't into the idea of having a funeral and everyone standing around crying. A church service is planned on Friday, January 20th at 10:00AM at Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will follow at Noon at the American Legion Post 40 on Fifth Avenue in Glen Burnie.
