David Rice passed away on July 11, 2025, in Virginia, at the age of 59.

Born on March 30, 1966, in

Portsmouth, Virginia, David spent his life rooted in the communities of his home state.

A skilled electrician by trade, David dedicated himself to his work with diligence and pride. His hands built and repaired much over the years, leaving a lasting mark through both his profession and the lives he touched.

David had a deep appreciation for music, which brought him joy and connection throughout his life.

Whether listening or playing, music was a constant companion that reflected his spirit and passion.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Lauren Rice and Hannah Rice; his son, Joshua Rice; his sister, Robyn Rice; and his mother, Dorothy Rice. He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Rice.

May David's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.

David was a huge part of our life during his younger years as one of my son's good friends. He spent fun times playing basketball in our back yard and hanging out with the "boys". I will always remember him with fondness. I know he is resting in peace now. April Mober ( Tusinski)

Gonna miss u my favorite cousin, it was always just me and you been the same age, love all the fun times and wouldn't have traded them for nothing, we'll maybe when we got busted throwing rock loaded snowballs at cars, haha. Gonna miss u cuz. Love you always.
