David Roffey Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2008.
ROFFEY, David "Dave". It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Roffey, on Friday February 8th, 2008. Beloved husband to Steph, devoted father to Mark (Carol) and Kurt (Michelle). Proud grandfather (Umpa) to Neomie and Josee; (Parpie) to Andrea, Melissa and Brandi: "great Parpie" to Davie and Taylor. Sadly missed by his devoted doggie "Katie Girl". He will live in all of our hearts forever and ever! Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of David's Life which will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville, Ontario (905- 844-3221) from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 16th, 2008 with a service to follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Donations to the Shriners Children's Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Dearest Steph, Mark, Kurt and family,

We extend our profound sympathies to you all on the loss of a dear soulmate, father and grandfather. The shock of David's passing has stunned us all and made us realize just how precious our loved ones are and how fickle life can be. We are deeply saddened for you and your families.

To you, David....and we know you're listening, our deepest thanks for forty-one years of wonderful friendship - for the good times, the laughs and the wonderful things we did together as couples. We'll remember weekends in the Eastern Township, dances, sleighrides, parties and family gatherings and last, but not least, the trips the four of took together. A diary of those trips would rival any Erma Bombeck best seller. Never again will we ever listen to the strumming of a guitar or banjo or look at a unicycle without thinking of you.

Sleep well, friend.

With much love,

The Mather Family
