David Rubin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 21, 2024.
David was born September 1, 1974, on Edwards Air Force Base, CA, to D. Maureen Storm Rubin Burt and Stephen Rubin.

David was very proud of the fact he barely graduated from Cabrillo High School in 1992, then went on to Allan Hancock College for a short time.

David had always planned to become a Marine and leave Lompoc as soon as he graduated high school. Sadly, whatever controls the Universe had other plans for him.

Due to medical reasons, David became trapped in his own body at age 15. As of September 7, 2024, David has finally been freed from the prison that was his own body.

Although David was engaged many times, he never married and did not have any children.

David spent the last few years of his life in a cozy apartment in downtown Santa Barbara.

David is survived by his parents, D. Maureen Burt and Stephen Rubin (Paula Brady-Rubin), little sister, Malinda (Mindy) Rubin, and niece Jae Mora.

A small private ceremony was held on the Central Coast of California.

This time I went to visit when my father was still in the AirForce at the time at Vandenberg living in off base housing. My brother had this bee bee gun. Me and my brother David went through the neighborhood shooting at different things. Someone must of saw us and told his mom and my dad cause when my father got home I heard all about it and we both got in trouble and I believe we both got grounded and that was the first time I ever saw my father get mad at me. I learned something that day never do something stupid like that again. I miss my brother but I know he´s at peace and not hurting any more. Love you. Brother. Until we meet again.
