David Rust Obituary
David C. Rust , 69, of Cold Spring, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011, on at Cold Spring, Ky. He was a co-owner of Advertiser Printers Inc. in Dayton, Ky. Dave was past president of the Cincinnati Litho Club; he joined the Cold Spring- Crestview Fire Department at the young age of 16 and later served as the Fire Chief; he was on the Fire District Board for 14 years and served as the chairman of the Central Campbell Fire District. David had a great love of horses which he enjoyed during his seven years of retirement. Mr. Rust helped establish the Northern Kentucky Horse Network and served as its treasurer and also a member of the Horse Council Trail Committee in Lexington, Ky. He is survived by his wife Patricia Schwalbach Rust of Cold Spring, Ky, sons Mike (Linda) Rust of Cold Spring, Ky and Jeff (Renee) Rust of Fort Thomas, Ky., daughters Lori (Dave) Steffen of Alexandria, Ky and Lisa (Mike) Griffith of Alexandria, Ky, his sisters Sr. Marlene Rust CDP of Melbourne, Ky., Mary Jo Galbaugh of Taylor Mill, Ky and Marjorie Schramm of Hilton Head, SC and 8 Grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 12 PM, November 2, 2011, at the St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, Kentucky. No Visitation. The Muehlenkamp-Erschell Fort Thomas Funeral Home is serving the Family. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Church 4011 Alexandria Pike Cold Spring, KY 41076 or the Northern Kentucky Horse Network Scholarship Fund, Campbell County Extention Office, 3500 Alexandria Pike, Highland Heights, Kentucky 41076.
