We have just found out the sad news of the sudden passing of our neighbor Dave. He was our first friend on Rugby Road in which we lived next door. Dave was polite, friendly, active, and truly enjoyed being around children/teens in the neighborhood as well as adults. Dave was very generous with his personal time in sharing his home repair skills. It was while Dave was still our neighbor when he met his lovely wife Terri. We will miss Dave who will always be in our thoughts.

We were so very sorry to hear of Dave"s passing. He was a great person!

We just found out about Dave's sudden passing early this year and were saddened as if we had lost a member of the family. Dave has been our HVAC magician for over 20 years and early on in 1999 he and a couple of his helpers came out to our house on a hot Friday night before my son's wedding the next day to replace our condenser in the attic. They labored late into the evening so our guests and wedding party that weekend could enjoy some respite from the heat. Ever since, whether Dave called to remind us of pending maintenance or we called him with our latest "emergency" he was always responsive, effective, diligent and friendly. I remember when he had the "explosion" in his truck about 5 years ago(?) I saw him at a job in our neighborhood and went up to talk to him about it and he was in good spirits and said it wasn't his time yet. Our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Schleicher and Dave's children and all of his family on this loss. We will miss him dearly as someone who we could always depend on and as a friend.
Sincerely,
Mr. & Mrs. Rex B Fitch Jr/Lynnee M Fitch

I am so sorry to hear this news. I just heard from a mutual friend of ours. Dave was so good to me after my father passed away 20 years ago and was also in the HVAC business. He told me to always call Dave and he would take care of any problem, and he Did. Dave will be greatly missed by so many. He was such a hard working man that was true to his word. I hope the Angels in heaven are there for you now

We met David through his valuable contributions to our non-profit, Faith Works Coalition. Over the past several years he served our low-income and elderly clients with rapid response and a caring attitude. He had a servant's heart and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Our condolences go out to the entire family.

Just can't believe we won't see him again or hear him ask "how's it going my friend?"

Dave wasn't just the best HVAC guy in town but he was actually one of the best guys in town. He was always there for our family, whether it was to help make sure we had heat/air or to sponsor our kids' sports as they grew up or even to offer our son a job when he needed a helping hand.

We're gonna miss seeing you Dave and our hearts are broken for your family. Rest in paradise our friend.

Terry, our hearts are saddened by Dave's passing, he was a good man and a great friend. When Carol and I moved to VB in January of '93, our first day there found the heat pumps defective. Dave came over and worked in the dark and cold rain to get one pump working so we didn't have to go to a hotel. That dedication to his clients was why we ended up being good friends for 24 years. We will keep you and the family in our prayers.
