David SEAL Obituary
(aka Slinger)
David passed away peacefully Saturday, December 15th in the loving arms of his family at the age of 58, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Thunder Bay he had a passion for music, sports, family and friends, always enjoying golf and cottage life. He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Spencer), son Jordan and daughter Victoria. Dear son of Edward and Beatrice, beloved brother of Susan (Tak), Donna (Kevin), Andrew (Nancy). Brother-in-law to Susan (Bob), Brian (Joanne) and Robert. Loving uncle to Austin, Vernon, Faron, Trevor, Jeremy, Mena, Sage, Brandon, Dalton, Shaelynn and Rachael. He will sadly be missed by all his family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, 691 Smyth Road, on Thursday, December 20 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are appreciated.

Its hard to believe that David aka Slinger has been gone for more than 8 years now. We miss his infectious smile, his sense of humour and his passion and love for the Habs, the 49ers and the Rolling Stones. Dave you may be gone but never forgotten. RIP our dear friend

passing.............I keep thinking of
you and your brave battle against CANCER. Everyday you fought this battle you never complained and despite everything you were going through..........you found happiness within a day. You were a true and loyal fan of your 49ers, checking the football scores days before your passing. Your family is doing well but misses you with every breath they take. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
Dave touched my life, as he did so many others with his humour, his great passion and zest for life. The opportunity to have shared the above with him through our mutual love of the Rolling Stones music was quite a unique experience and one that I will never forget. I recall also with great joy the many years we practiced and played live together on stage with 'Out of our Heads', 'Torn and Frayed' and 'Goats Head Soup'.
I know he will be greatly missed by all the members of those bands.

I knew Dave as a musician. I'll always him behind the drums smiling, playing with passion and musicality. He was a force. Of all the complements I could make about his person, I think the most important was that he was truly unique. In a world of cardboard cutout people, Dave Seal was never ever that.
