Someone you will never forget. If ever I had a professional mentor, Dave, it was certainly you. Your encouragement sent me down a number of paths that I would not have been confident to travel had I not sat next to you during the years our careers crossed paths. Sorry we drifted apart.. your memories live on, my old friend.

Dave Simon was one of my most admired persons in the water treatment industry and among the most outstanding from his technical capability but his great interest in helping solve problems and a wonderful person. I have know Dave for over 55 years years and we have had numerous technical discussions with him as well as his great friend ship. He will be missed greatly by me and many others for his contributions, conversation, and sharing of common experiences. We all currently and our past employees send our condolenses Puckorius & Associates, Inc. Arvada, Colorado

I first met Dave back in the early 90's when he helped to teach a workshop on zero liquid discharge at the International Water Conference. I have since worked with Dave on the Executive Committee of the IWC and have greatly appreciated his experience, insight and friendship. He will be greatly missed.

Simply put, Dave was an amazing man who will be greatly missed. We at Cyrus Rice Water Consultants had the honor and privilege of knowing Dave for many years. He was a man of drive, ambition, passion and humility, all of which could be seen on a daily basis around the office. The passion that he had for water related issues allowed him to become a figurehead in the industry whom people across the country, including us here at CRC, often turned to for guidance and advice. While sharing an office together, and even still after he retired, we often heard stories of his travels and about his family, who always came first in Dave's life. The way he lived his life, he was the type of man whom others should strive to be like. He was a great influence and role model, not just when it came to striving to become better in the workplace but also with regard to being a good, honest and caring man. While the spirit he possessed will be greatly missed here on earth, we can all be at peace knowing that Dave is now safely home with his beloved Betty. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with Dave's family as they grieve the loss of their loved one. May he rest in peace.

I remember that Ray Baum and I were David's sponsors when he joined the Executive Committee of the International Water Conference. We certainly made a good decision. His background in water and wastewater treatment were exemplary and his participation and insight certainly added to the success of the IWC over his many years of service. He will be sorely missed by all of us.

I could never count the times Dave and I had dinner together before attending a concert, a play, or other event somewhere in Pittsburgh. I shall miss my friend and companion beyond words.
