David Soli Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 29, 2025.
David Alvin Soli, 60, of Boca Raton, FL, passed away on September 27, 2025, at DelRay Medical Center in DelRay, FL, after a courageous six-year battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Aspelund Free Lutheran Church, Vang, ND.

David was born on May 10, 1965, in Cavalier, ND, to Robert and Mary (Martineau) Soli. He grew up in Walhalla, ND, where he was well known for his adventurous spirit and mischief in the neighboring communities. He graduated from Walhalla High School in 1983 and soon after moved to Grand Forks, ND.

David began his career in computers in the early 1980s in Grand Forks. In 1988, he moved to Florida and later to Connecticut, where he spent most of his adult life before returning to Florida in recent years. Over the course of his career, he worked with several companies, including Computer Lab (New London, CT), The Day newspaper (formerly New London Day), MediaSpectrum (Miami Beach, FL), and Nymbus, LLC (Jacksonville, FL). His work allowed him to travel widely, including many trips to Russia. It was there that he met Tatiana (Pak) Soli, whom he married in 2007. Dave's passions were being out on his boat, collecting guns, and had a goal to be able to carry in every state.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Mary Soli of Vang, ND; his wife, Tatiana (Pak) Soli of Boca Raton, FL; his children, Nick Soli of Lakeland, FL, Dana (Jay) Brissett of Browerville, MN, and Benjamin Soli of Boca Raton, FL; and his sisters, Deb (Brent Underhill) Soli of Grand Forks, ND, Diane Soli of Grand Forks, ND, and Delores (Larry) Miller of Kalispell, MT. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Iskra Pak, of Moscow, Russia, his grandchildren, Olivia, Danica, and Octavia; and many nieces and nephews, including Nikole (Mike Gimbel) Soli, Luke Gimbel, Wyatt (Zandi) Houle, Anabelle Houle, Lilith Houle, and Max Gerrard.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alvin and Ruth Soli and Alphonse and Irene Martineau, as well as several aunts and uncles.

David (Caveman) will be remembered for his sharp humor, fearless outlook, and for living life full throttle, right to the end.
