David Stull Obituary

David W. Stull, 80, of Larksville Mountain passed away Thursday at Hospice Care of VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes–Barre.

His wife is the former Gladys B. Hill.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1927, in Larksville, son of the late Sheldon and Mariam Cochran Stull.

He was honorably discharged from the Army, serving as a sergeant. He was decorated with the World War II Victory Medal and the Army Occupation Medal, Japan.

He was a member of Local 524 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He also was a part-time farmer and thoroughly enjoyed gardening. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Stull.

He took a lot of pride in his sons who survive him: David Stull, Addison, N.Y.; and Kenneth Stull, Larksville; and his granddaughter, Ann E. Stull; sisters, Eleanor Mangan, Lyndwood; Margaret Mattey, Edwardsville; brothers, Sheldon Stull, Plymouth; and Ralph Stull, Pringle; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from Edwards and Russin Funeral Home, 717 Main St., Edwardsville, with the Rev. James Shields of Outlet Free Methodist Church, Lehman Township, officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill section of Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m.

Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice Care of the VNA, 80 E. Northampton St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.
