David L. Swearingen, 85, of Bethlehem died Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Sandra K. "Sandy" Swearingen with whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on July 28, 2023. Born in Clarksburg, WV, he was the son of the late George and Wilma (Cunningham) Swearingen. David received his Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia University in 1960. After graduation he accepted a position at Bethlehem Steel working in one of their coal mines in West Virginia. He was then promoted to plant foreman. In 1969 he was transferred to Bethlehem where he worked in corporate management. In 2003 David retired as Director of Land Management after 42 years of dedicated service. An avid golfer, David was a member of Northampton Country Club where he won the club championship twice. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Survivors: Wife; children, Jennifer Sue Kincaid and her husband Michael of Bethlehem, A.J. Swearingen and his wife Kelly of Spring Hills, TN; grandchildren, Colin James Kincaid of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Samantha Lyn Kincaid of Allentown.

Service: Memorial Service 11:00AM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St, Bethlehem. Call 10 to 11:00AM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the funeral home. Please record a memorial tribute at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
