David Sweet

Sweeter was a part of the happiest moments in my life. He accepted me as a friend and helped make my life a little bit better for two years out of seventy two.

I recently had a birthday, this time last year l was celebrating with a few friends. One of them asked if l'd heard from Dave lately, within the minute it was Dave calling to wish me happy birthday. He remembered.

Oh David! Can´t believe it´s been a whole year...the phone calls the music videos " THATS WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR" ( Dionne Warwick) and so many others; your sense of humor unmatched, quick whit...sure do miss our conversations, especially when we´d talk on my many trips to the Jersey shore...miss you

It might be years in between phone conversations with Sweeter, but any time he called, the chat would resume as if we had spoke earlier in the same day. He could see humor in almost any topic. He is sadly missed.

I knew Dave throughout high school, and he was a friendly, happy guy, the people around him were always smiling. He made the world a cheerful place. I wish him peace.

So sorry to learn of the passing of my SUNY brockport friend who I was fortunate enough to reconnect with in Sidney in the 70´s-80´s. What a great guy he was!!!

Thanks all for recognition of my dear brother...what a great run and this death reflects how important the memories are. Keep them close and revel in those brief yet joyful memories...Little League to "transition"! Hug the living and remember the passed....thank you.

Condolences to the Sweet family. Sweeter was beloved throughout the HHI community and he is very much missed.

Bud and Mrs. Sweet, so sorry for your loss. Sweeter will be greatly missed on Hilton Head, he touched many hearts and enriched many lives.

Mrs. Sweet, Bud and Family, I am so sorry to hear this. Many are the memories of the friendships formed on Alice Street following our relocation to Chenango Bridge circa 1961.

We were friends at CV and I have fond memories of all the good times we had back then.
I happened to be traveling by Hilton Head Sunday and was thinking about him.

Oh Dave, I will miss your calls and the YouTubes that you've been sending me. I had a crush on you starting in 6th grade, Mr. Anthony's class. God is blessed to have you at his side. You had such a loving heart and zest for life!

I was friendly with Dave throughout school. He was always a nice guy who lit up a room when he entered it. He was always kind and funny, never hurtful, and definitely one of the 'popular' kids. That didn't matter to him though, he would still be friendly with everyone. My sincere condolences go out to his family; I know he will be greatly missed.

I knew David a little bit back in high school rooting him on. He was a incredible guy who once he said hello to you he never forgot your name. My friend Jonathan who was close with David always lit up when talking about "Sweeter" . And the tribute by his fellow classmate Jack, cleared out my tearducts. God gives us special people that make the world around us a much better place. And Dave was one of them. Peace and comfort to the Sweet family and extended families.

My most vivid memory of Dave was his kind and welcoming nature. He was one of the "in" kids, but he never treated anyone as an outsider.
