David Temple Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Jan. 20, 2016.
David Elsworth Lindsay Temple April 3, 1927 - January 14, 2016 It is with sadness we announce that David has passed away at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary and their son, David. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley Crossley and her children Crayton, Cynthia and Dustin, and their families, his daughters Irene (Paul) Cultum and Fiona (Tim Earle) and his beloved grandchildren Tyler, Riley, Marlee and Théo. David was a veteran of the Second World War, later studied medicine and started his medical career in the Bahamas. Eventually David came to Vancouver where he worked at Riverview Hospital for many years. With his gentle, kind soul and playful sense of humour, Dr. T was loved by all those he encountered and established many long term friendships with his colleagues. David spent his last years in Nova Scotia and enjoyed his yearly visits back to Vancouver to see his friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. E. MacIinnis, Dr. G. Jollymore, South Shore Regional Hospital staff and Nova Scotia Ambulance Service paramedics for the kindness and wonderful care David received over the past several months. David, we shall miss you but know you can now rest in eternal peace. Cremation has taken place. On line condolences can be made to www.davisfuneralhome. No service by his request.

So sorry to hear of Dr. T's passing...he was a joy to know and work with, I remember him fondly from the Riverview years. One of the nicest men I ever met with a great sense of humour, and genuine concern and caring for the patients in his care. My sincere condolences to all the family.
