I was a student of Major Terrells in JROTC in breaux bridge. I don't have much to say but I wanted to write this to remind anyone that reads this how amazing this man was. When I had no friends in high school, Major was there. More of a much needed father figure but you get the point. If it wasn't for his selfless teachings I wouldn't have had the motivation to join the military. We will never forget you sir. Three schools one team

Not a day goes by I not think of you my dear friend. It has been a year but each time I enter my classroom I think of you. JROTC is not the same without my Battle Buddy! You warmed the hearts of everyone you encountered. A true gentlemen and soldier. I still can't believe you are no longer with us. I was glad camp was cancelled last summer because I dreaded having to be there without seeing your smile every morning in the mess hall. I miss you my friend. I promise to keep your memory alive in JROTC and in my heart forever!

My deepest condolences to the family of MAJ David Terrell Jr. David and I were classmates in ROTC at Southern University. I always remembered him to be an outstanding leader who truly cared about his subordinates. He was always smiling and was truly a kind and compassionate person. I knew that he would make an outstanding military officer. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.

Major Terrell touched and changed so many lives! Among so many other things, he taught me to never let fear be my reason to quit, but instead fuel me to go head first. I'm so glad to have been under his command at Amite Co. High. He has left a footprint in this world that no one can fill. Major, thank you for all that your did for myself and so many more. The world has lost a rare gem! You will truly be missed.

My God's Mercy, Love and Grace be with you. David served as a deacon with the Cusseta Road Church of Christ, Columbus Georgia during his tour of duty at Fort Benning, Georgia. It was our desire for him to retire here. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

To Glen and Pat,
Oh, I know how devastating it is to lose a sibling who was as close as the three of you were. To the children and siblings of David Terrell, Jr. (Buddy Boy), I know your hearts are saddened; but I know my cousin is watching over you as an angel in heaven as he did on this earth. He is standing strong with all the Terrell family who went before him to form that watchful halo for all those left on earth. You had a great brother and father! My prayers are with you. Lettie L. Lockhart
