David Warren Tice, age 73, passed away at his home in Loomis, MI, on December 29, 2013, surrounded by his family. David was born the son of Clarence Warren Tice and Doris Elizabeth Bergey Tice on August 29, 1940. David had 5 siblings: a sister, Mary (Glenn) DeDolph of Fenton; brothers, Michael (Judy) Tice of Clare, Daniel (Marcia) Tice of Loomis. David was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Clarence Warren Tice; father and mother-in-law, Anton (Tony) and Dorothy Romatz; a daughter, Penny Alberta Tice; a grandson, Robert Douglas Oswald; a granddaughter, Jewel Tice; and his brothers, Jonathon M. Tice and Steve P. Tice; a sister- in-law, Lana M. Tice.
David married Rosalie Romatz Tice on February 1, 1964. Together they had 7 children, David Warren Tice, Jr. of Kentucky, Roxanne Sue Tice of Rosebush, Elizabeth (Robin) Tice Francis of Mt. Pleasant, Darlene Kaye Tice (Fred Peek) of Farwell, Jamie Lynn Tice (Kevin Stabenow) of Port Huron, and Matthew Alan Tice (Shelly Cook) of St. Louis. They had 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Church of the Daniels Band on Bard Road in Beaverton, MI on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Clare Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. Graveside Service and Internment will be held in Loomis at the Wise Township Cemetery. David has always been very kind to our family. He came over to visit and just sit with my Father, Elry Tice, during His illness. That was appreciated very much. He will not be forgotten.
