To my great friend David,
We didn't work together that much in Australia, however in China on the BlueScope project we needed to work very closely together and formed an excellent partnership.
Always full of life but a true friend and cared about people all the time.
You are sadly missed Dave.
Rest in peace.

Absolutely terrible news last Wednesday. Dave and I have worked on both Shift Work and Day Work alongside each other. Always willing to get in and get the job done. As has been stated a character beyond belief and the sheer nature of the Man will be sorely missed. RIP old mate till we meet again - Trev

So sad to hear of Dave's passing. I fondly remember our times working together in numerous locations. Over the last few years I used to bump into Dave around North gong, as he rode around town. A bundle of joy and energy that will be sadly missed.
RIP Dave.

David - you have made many friends in so many places over your short fantastic life. You started work at Lysaght's and then later took the your 1st overseas position in Indonesia. That started many more adventures to every other BSL coating plant in Asia where our paths crossed many times over there and back here in Wollongong
I have received sincere condolences to your family and friends from some of those people you closely worked with including Dave Jefford, Rick Westmoreland, Matt Mulligan, Dave Pluckrose, Bob & Di Henson, Geoff & Cathy Ensor, Mike Courtnall.
You are one of a kind who never forgot his friends.

I met David in January 1975 when we both started at John Lysaght as engineering trainees & continued to cross-paths through most of our careers. He was a unique character that brought a different perspective on things & a very caring people person.
It was shocking to learn of his sudden passing at such a young age & will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.

David, you have always been a very dear friend for most of my life - this world will definitely not be the same place without you. I will miss that beautiful smile.

So sorry to hear of David's passing, I remember him and his dad from my years at Lysaghts. I bumped into him a couple of times in the last year on the bike track at Berkeley and each time we had a long chat and he was always his cheerful self. RIP David

David, you were always quirky, complex and original. Your passion for life and absolute commitment to the job at hand and your work mates was legendary. In a tough situation, you were always the first person I wanted by my side. We will miss the email on birthdays or the gruff phone call. A very sad day for your family and all of the people who knew you. RIP

David,
you certainly were one of a kind. A great workmate to many and especially remembered as a 'legend' in the true sense of the word to your management team mates of the Class of '94 at PT BHP Steel Indonesia.
You put so much energy into the people and the start of of that business because you wanted it to be successful.
Your leadership style and focus on process was just what was needed...a great asset to the business and the employees there.
Thank you from all for those yearly birthday best wishes....we will remember you always for the person you were.
