Dave Wagner Marietta, GA - David A. Wagner, longtime Scotia, New York native, passed away peacefully on February 10th, in Marietta, Georgia at the age of 76.

Born in Schenectady, New York on May 19, 1947 to Leona and Joe Wagner, they soon settled along with older brother Paul on Washington Ave in Scotia, New York where his family spent countless hours enjoying various family related activities, at nearby Collins Park.

Dave Graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School in 1965. He played Football,Basketball, and Varsity Baseball, and was involved in several musical projects, including the HS School Band, and a self formed rock group, the Vibrations, which played for many school, town and church dances. Dave's passion was music and he would end up playing in countless bands up into his mid seventies.

After graduation, Dave attended Buffalo State University, and then joined the USAF, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He married Jackie (Klotz) in 1970, and continued his education in the Printers Union Trade School, as well as training courses at Kodak Education Center, in Rochester, NY. He worked at various Printing Companies in New York State, and Atlanta Georgia until retiring in 2011.

Dave married, and raised his two sons, Bob, and Jamie in Scotia, where they attended Scotia-Glenville Schools. Dave was proud of his boys, and worked as a volunteer Leader with Boy Scouts of America. He shared his passion for music with Bob, and his love for Baseball with Jamie.

Dave married Annette Bents, the Love of his Life, in 2004, and together they formed his last musical combo, the Bavarian Duo, singing and playing their heritage German Oktoberfest music. Together, they traveled the Southeast, playing gigs and enjoying those experiences, and each other. When not playing they traveled Europe together, something Annette taught Dave to appreciate.

In his spare time, Dave enjoyed watching Jamie, head coach of Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, a nationally ranked baseball program, and traveling home to New York several times a year to see Bob, grandson Steve, and Great-Grandson Leon.

Dave is survived by his wife, Annette Bents of Marietta; two sons, Bob Wagner of Schenectady, NY, and Jamie Wagner and wife Joanna of Woodstock, GA; his four Grandchildren; Steven (wife Jess), Csaba, Jazmin, and Romeo, great grandson Leon, and Niece Michele Mitchell, husband Frank, and daughter Shelbe.
