David Ward Obituary
WOODRUFF, SC-- David Randall Ward, 51, of 1488 Bobcat Lane passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at his residence.
A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of Lucille Warren Ward of Woodruff and the late Ivan Andrew Ward. He was a member of Pentecostals of Spartanburg and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.
Surviving are his wife Carolyn Gilmer Ward of the home; surviving are two sons, David Lee Carr and his wife Mindy of Spartanburg and Randy Ward of Spartanburg; one step-daughter, Kristin Wells of Spartanburg; two sisters, Michelle Coker of Piedmont and Deborah Johnson of Pauline; three grandchildren, Destini, Logan and Maddison.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2008 at 3:00 PM at the Lanford Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Larry Wilkes and Rev. Jerry Colegrove. Interment will follow in Greenhaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45 PM Friday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Mr. Ward memorial contributions may be made to Pentecostals of Spartanburg, 740 Falling Creek Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
The family is at the home of Kristin Wells, 148 Willowood Drive, Spartanburg.

Lucy, Deborah and Michelle...
please know that your family holds you in our thoughts and prayers. Even though we are miles apart and cannot be there for you, you have our love and our support through this hard time in your lives.
I remember Randy from the time he stayed with Bob and me in Tennessee...so full of life, and laughter. That is the way I will always remember him.
Your memories will bring smiles and help you get through the pain.
