WEBB David Formally of Stopsley, Luton and more recently Ampthill, Bedfordshire.
Passed away peacefully, aged 84,
on August 24th.
Born in India (Poona), the son of British Army parents. On return to England he met Kay, the love of his life, and set up married life in Poole, Dorset.
Here they had their three beloved girls Alison, Sarah and Joanne.
Following promotion, he relocated to Luton in 1970 as a Senior Civil Engineer and team leader for Luton Borough Council involved heavily with The Luton Airport development until his retirement. Many colleagues he still enjoyed getting together with up until very recently.
Both our parents made many special close friends for which they counted their blessings, especially from Stephens Close, Langford Drive and further across Stopsley, making their lives full of fun and activity.
Both him and Kay belonged to
The Sacred Heart Church in Stopsley.
They had a long and loving marriage and lots of happy memories together. When Kay sadly passed away in 1998 their friends from church were of great strength to David.
He was an avid and skilled golfer,
a lifelong member of South Beds Golf Club where he loved playing as often as he could with some great friends.
David later remarried a lovely lady, Aileen Kearney, whom he met through the choir and spent some happy years with her on holidays and visiting friends and family until her sad passing.
His last 10 years were spent in Ampthill, closer to his family and 6 adored grandchildren. Despite having Parkinson's for over 18 years he remained a strong, proud and independent man for as long as he could, joining both the Police choir
and U3A.
In his last few years, David moved into a nursing home, and he passed away peacefully and as always surrounded by the care of his family.
Rest in Peace Dad, we love you and think of you always and pray you're now at peace with Mum in Heaven.
We welcome friends who would like to attend the funeral at
St Mary the Virgin Church,
Maulden, Bedfordshire at 12 noon on Wednesday 14th September 2016.
It would be lovely to see some
old friends.
Family flowers only please, but any donations to Parkinson's UK would be gratefully received via www.memorygiving.com/davidwebb

A wonderful man
Was sad to hear the news, have fond memories of David, his words of wisdom to a very young man, remember the kids from the neighbourhood being made very welcome in the front room with cups of tea & never a complaint with Kay being a mother to us all, a sad loss
