David was a great friend and compatriot. We came to know each other in our common heritage organizations, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the Sons of Confederate Veterans, the Military Order of the Stars & Bars, the Sons of the American Revolution, and the Southern Heritage Ball. He was a grand gentleman, always ready to be of assistance to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by me and so many others. May Almighty God Rest his soul. A great man, a great patriot, good and true.

I knew David first from the Southern Heritage Ball and then he and my husband were in OSC together. What a prince of a man. He will be missed.

I first met David and Dinah through the Sons of the American Revolution but came to know them more personally via the Order of the Southern Cross. David was a true Southern gentleman.
