David Wilcox Sr. Obituary
David R. Wilcox Sr (89) of Hartford Ct .David passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025 at St Francis Hospital after battling dementia.
David was born in Amity Maine on July 7, 1935 to Ralph and Leona (Stitham) Wilcox.
David started working on the family farm as a young boy, in 1953 went out on his own with plans for his future.
He worked locally for several years in the Hartford area. In 1964 started a successful business which he own/operated for many years.
David was passionate about Family holiday gatherings, driving in the country, festivals and fairs.
He was an avid fan of the Red Sox and New England Patriots.
David is survived by his wife Donna (Brooks); ex-wife Miriam (Rutt) Malone, his children David Jr wife Cindi, Corrie Pizzoni, Leah Cass husband Larry, Shaun Wilcox (Meghan), Jonathan Matamala husband Mitchell; Siblings Arlene Scoville, Darryl Wilcox wife Cathy, Richard Wilcox, and Gerald Wilcox wife Betty.
His step children John Antoniak wife Natalie, Tim Leblanc wife Nakita, Tiffany Leblanc
and many grandchildren and great grandchildren nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Leona Wilcox, ex-wife Sondra (Tennant) Wilcox, daughter Cheryl Russell, son Mathew and grandson Michael; brothers John, Alfred, Andrew, and 2 sisters Mary Allen, and Louise Powers.
A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held on 8 February 2025 at Brooklawn Funeral Home 511 Brook St, Rocky Hill Ct 06067 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM
Family and friends are invited to join us in honoring his memory.
In the spring David will be interred in the Wilcox Cemetery, Cary, Maine.
He will be deeply missed and his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.

my deepest condolences to David's family ..during my time working for Dave, he taught me the skills of being a good operator and driver..I will never forget him..May God Bless Him and Keep Him and His Family
