David William Mann, 82, of Charleston, South Carolina, beloved husband of Barbara Gilbert Mann, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 20, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, at 11:00 AM in the Bishop Gadsden Chapel, One Bishop Gadsden Way. Interment will follow the service in the Bishop Gadsden Columbarium. The family will receive friends at the chapel afterward. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel. David was born on April 10, 1943, in Rochester, New York, to Clarence William Mann and Kathleen McWilliams Mann. He was the founder and owner of Professional Marketing Associates and had a long, fulfilling career. A devoted member of the Episcopal Church in both South Carolina and North Carolina, David dedicated much of his life to service. He was an advocate in the guardian ad litem program and was honored by the SC governor for his work defending the rights of abused and neglected children. He was also deeply involved in AIDS ministries through his church. David was known for his quick wit, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family. His kind heart, generous spirit, and empathetic nature left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara; his son, Charles (Robin) Mann; and his daughter, Elizabeth (Christopher) Fry. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Abigail Tickle, Chloe Mann, George Tickle, Griffin Mann, and Dow Fry. He is also lovingly remembered by many extended family members and friends.
