David was married to the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Joy Hughes Williams for over 63 years. David attended Jeff Davis high school and University of Houston. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. David loved fishing, hunting, and street rods and drag racing. David was a "Master Mason" since August 24, 1962 at the East Gate Lodge # 1153. David had many friends but spending time with his street rod friends was his favorite. David and Joy have been members of Spring Baptist Church for over 50 years. David loved his church and pastor.

David was proceeded in death by his parents, Barney and Willie Williams; daughter, Tangee and his sister, Judy Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife; Joy Williams; son, David Williams Jr.; and daughter, Kathy. He is also survived by his brother, Buddy Williams and wife Peggy; sister, Bonnie Snow and husband Paul, and many more nephews and nieces, and very close friends.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday, May 14, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Mark Estep and Rev. Lucian Stohler; 633 E Louetta Rd., Spring, Texas 77373; with a burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park and Cemetery, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.

In Lieu of flowers, please donate to Spring Baptist Building Fund.
