Dear Lena, Terri, Jeff and family, Although I am more than confident that April will take the best care of your family, words cannot describe my heartbreak that Denise and I are away;it may have been to ease the heartache. My mind is flooded at this time with memories of my family's friendship with yours.Although Dave was part of my childhood: "Uncle Dave and Aunt Lena"; my first jobs outside the funeral home; Ryerson Steel and the police barracks; as well as my adult life in so many ways. Most of my thoughts have turned to those of of my dad who is now being joined by one of his last "best friends".I could fill half this website naming them all. Most include Dave's antics with such things as for sale signs in front of the funeral home, baby Jesus in the police car, charcoal at the Tonidale (if you do not know that one I can explain later), etc. etc.Dad would seem furious at times with him, but only grew closer in friendship and love with him.My belief is that my father and your beloved Dave are in heaven together with family and friends. Wherever that is I wish them luck in maintaining calm and peace.Lena, know you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers,Love Tommy and Denise

The years have passed by but the memories are still strong I have of Dave and how he went out of his way to help me while I worked at Tonidale. He gave me great advice when I ask and always had time to remember a fellow MOON RUNNER.

Lena and Family:

I am saddened to learn of your loss. I have many fond memories of our many trips to PSATC Meetings together and the good times we shared.
I was released from the hospital about 11:AM today after back surgery April 7th. I am walking with the aid of a walker and have some discomfort, therefore I will be unable to attend any of the services for Dave but rest assured you and all your family members are in my prayers.
