David C. WITKOWSKI

WITKOWSKI, DAVID C. Germantown, MD Passed away peacefully under the loving care of his mother, Patricia, best friend, Scott Tarzwell, and Hospice on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, age 47. David was a 1984 graduate of Lumen Christi High School and attended Jackson College before beginning a life-long career in retail management. He managed stores for FAO Schwartz in Atlanta, GA, Las Vegas, NV, and Washington, D.C. before joining Macy's and his most recent position at the Naval Exchange in Bethesda, MD. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and traveling for both work and pleasure and loved his pets. David is survived by his mother, Patricia Witkowski; brother, Stephen Witkowski; sister, Linda (Daniel) Arntz; nieces, Jamie, Kelly and Katherine; nephew, David; great-nephew, Aaron; sister-in-law, Brenda Witkowski; best friend, Scott Tarzwell; his pets, Face, Toes, Tigger, and Guinness, and many friends across the country. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Witkowski; grandparents, Frank and Mary Papiersky and Leo and Rosemary Witkowski. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jackson. The family will receive friends and family beginning at 9:30 AM at the church prior to the service. The family asks that those wishing to make memorial contributions in David's name make them to the following charities: American Cancer Society, Cascades Humane Society, or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
