Sadly, I just found out of Dave's tragic accident about two hours ago. I served with Dave for two years in the Joint Nuclear Biological Chemical Defence Company in Trenton, Ontario; first as his Commanding Officer but as time went on, as his friend as well, as our daughters Laura and Nicole became enduring friends. When we both ended up in Ottawa again this summer, I enjoyed a lovely evening meal in late August with Dave, Denise, Nicole, and Micheal. I marveled at Dave's new tattoos, and how one of the toughest men I knew was also one of the most gentle and kind persons that I had ever met. We talked about the need to get together again soon. I have a hole in my heart tonight. My sincerest condolences to Denise, Kyle, Nickie, and Michael. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and in those of Nancy and Laura back in Halifax.

I worked down the hall from Dave at 408 Sqn in Edmonton for about two years. We would hang out and chat a bit when we had spare moments at work. Quite often he helped keep me sane when work was becoming too busy and I felt like tearing out my hair. He was an enthusiastic and active man who loved life and fitness. I'm very sad to hear he's gone. I have nothing but condolences for his family.

Denise and family: It was with great disbelief and shock, we learned of Dave’s passing. He had a very profound effect on his fellow Officers and Non Commissioned members. It was with great pride and honour that we can say we served with him at 408 Squadron. As a former member of our Squadron family, your loss is certainly our loss too. Please accept our sincerest condolences and may God Bless you all.

Our deepest sympathy to Denise, Kyle, Nicole and Michael.

Having known Dave from a baby in Winnipeg, we have watched him grow as a young man, husband, father who served his country. We fondly remember his summer days at Falcon Lake.

It is with shock and disbelief, we learned of his passing. Words can not express our sadness. We will keep him in our heart as our heart goes out to you.

Our deepest condolences to the Wray family (Denise, Kyle, Nicole and Mike and extended family whom we have not met). Dave was loved and respected by all of the Priddles. We will miss him at youth group, but we know that he has had a powerful & positive influence on many youth at Cornerstone and elsewhere. While he was passionate about many things (motorbikes, fire, music etc.), his passion for God will be most remembered. I will miss him as a co-leader at youth group, however I think God has some special plans for our group in the future.

We pray that God will sustain you (Denise, Kyle, Nicole and Mike) in the days and years to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you from BC.

I moved away before I got to know Dave, but I have heard so many good things about him and your family. I am an Air Force brat and am praying for your family--and his CF colleagues, too--as you and so many struggle with this huge loss. My new church here joined in praying for your family on Sunday. May God hold you up and provide comfort as only He can to you especially, his wife and children and family during this tragedy.

They say that only the good die young. While that, of course, is subject to debate, it's certainly the case with Dave. We have lost a very good and a very fine man far too soon.

I'm going to miss singing with Dave. And I'm going to miss the investment he was making in my boys' lives - particularly Ben - as one of their faithful youth leaders. I pray that the seeds that he has planted in the youth of Cornerstone will bear great fruit in the years to come.

And I pray for you Denise, Michael, Nicole and Kyle that, your memories of, and love for, Dave AND God's comforting presence will sustain you through the dark days.
