A special true friend like Dave is Hard to find and impossible to forget. There were time when we would not have any contact for a year, but would pick up right where we had left off. I will cherish the memories (many of them over Fricano's Pizza) and know we will live in my mind and heart.

Dear Greg & Erin, Jill & Don: your dad had many special gifts and two of which are: He listened. And he cared. He wrote many reassuring notes to family and friends. Your dad was thoughtful, caring and kind. He had a laugh that was contagious! His dry sense of humor coupled with his Christian conviction were gifts he offered to everyone. Our hearts go out to you!
With sincere condolences, Scott, Heather, Anna, Ethan and Jane Wolterink

My sincere sympathy is with your family at this difficult time. May memories bring you comfort and joy and replace the sorrow you are feeling. Dave was the person I met in Holland, who was truly interested in learning about me and my family. It was gift meeting him.
