Davion Malik Gaines passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 21 years.  He was born on December 1, 1994 to Candra Price and Willie Gaines III in Lansing, Michigan.
“Dee,” as he was affectionately known, attended Lansing Public Schools. He was employed by Booker’s BBQ in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He loved children, dancing and listening to music.  He especially loved listening to Chicago style rap music.  Davion was a devoted father, son, brother, cousin and friend.  His smile and sense of humor will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dee leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Naveah and Serenity Gaines of Lansing, Michigan; mother, Candra Price, Lansing, Michigan; father, Clarence Walker, Lansing, Michigan; one sister, Jaylyn Walker, Detroit, Michigan; three brothers, Amadi Conner of Lansing, Michigan, Frank Williams of Brooklyn, New York and Kenyata Walker of Detroit, Michigan; grandparents, Yasmin (Bakari Abdul) Qayyum of Lansing, Michigan, Martha (Neil Thomas) of Lansing, Michigan; seven aunts, Naima Price of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tamara (Justin) Jackson of North Carolina, Lawonna Walker of Lansing, Michigan, Letkecha (Nathan) Allen of Jackson, Michigan and Cassandra Moore of Detroit, Michigan; seven uncles, Vitolous “Shawn” Price of Indianapolis, Indiana, Markey Walker, Willie Thomas, Joshua Moore and James Rembert, all of Lansing, Michigan; Anthony “Quan” Knight of Pontiac, Michigan; a very special cousin, uncle, brother and friend, Turner Ashe, III, and Shaneqiua Bridgeman with whom he shared a special bond.
Davion was preceded in death by his son, D’Jore Malik Gaines and his favorite aunt, Charmaine Price.
The family would like to extend special thanks to everyone who provided meals and other expressions of kindness  during this difficult time.
