Davrin Delyte Jones

Davrin Delyte Arnold Jones, 51, of Donora, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in Mon Valley Hospital, Monongahela. She was born June 27, 1953, in McKeesport and was a daughter of Alice E. Simmons Arnold Thomas and the late Willie James Arnold. She was a 1971 graduate of Clairton High School. Later moving to California, she was employed as an executive secretary with United Technologies Corporation and by the San Jose Mercury Newspaper in the Customer Service Department. She was a respected and loyal friend. Surviving are her husband, Michael Lewis Arnold of Donora; mother and stepfather, Alice and Herbert L. Thomas Sr. of Donora; four sisters, Kathryn Thomas and husband Arthur of Clairton, Pamela P. Sterling and husband Cornell of Carnegie, Hope C. Arnold of San Jose, Calif., and Doreen P. Riley and husband Karmon of Sunnyvale, Calif.; stepchildren, Aime Susan Frank of San Jose, Calif. and Johanna Michelle Klaver of San Diego, Calif.; stepbrother, Herbert L. Thomas Jr. and wife Carla of Woodbridge, N.J.; stepsister, Florence Ross of Upper Marlboro, Md.; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin and Agnes Simmons and James and Hattie Arnold. Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, Clairton, where services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William C. Callaway officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Arrangements are being handled by the ROBERT A. WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 449 Mitchell Ave., Clairton.
