Dawn M. Hales, 51, of Palmer Township, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, at her home.
Born Nov. 9, 1968, in Wilson Borough, PA, she was the daughter of Judy Slingland of Bangor and her companion, Barry MacDougall.
She and her husband, Jason Hales, celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary on March 3, 2019, but were partners in crime for many years before.
Dawn graduated from Easton High School Class of 1986, where she was a cheerleader. She attended Churchman's Business College.
She retired from Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 where she worked as executive assistant to the Board of Directors for 17 years. Previously, she was employed by Creative Graphics, Bethlehem, and Keystone Foods.
Dawn loved life and was a warrior in her battle against cancer! She enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach, flowers and gardening. She loved spending time with her family, socializing with friends, and animals, especially her dogs, but most of all being a "Gigi" to her beautiful grandbabies.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving, in addition to her loving husband, and mother and her companion, are her beloved daughter and best friend, Victoria Batman and her husband, Jeremy, of Forks Township and a step-daughter, Kristen Miller, of Ottawa, OH. She was the proud and loving "Gigi" to Kinsley Jean and Aubree Jo Batman, who were her greatest joys in life. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in The Castel Club, 270 E. Kleinhans Street, Easton. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com
