Dawn Spence Obituary
Suddenly, following a brief illness, at Sunnybrook Medical Centre, Toronto on Monday, January 6th, 2014. Peacefully with her three men by her side, Dawn Jewel Spence (nee Hilliard) in her 58th year. Beloved daughter of Joan and the late Casey Hilliard. Dear wife of Terry. Loving mother of Derek (Dayna) and Richard (Ange). Loving grandmother of Taylor. Dear sister of George (Sue) Hilliard and Aunt of Ashley and Caitlin. Fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law Wayne, Dean (Susan) and Jeff (Colleen), her many nieces and nephews, and her friend for over 50 years, Evelyn (Dave). Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, January 10th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation (Cardiac Care) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

The Boyds would like to express their sincere condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. Dawn was an original from the McCullough Drive group and one of the nicest people to exist on this earth. Every attempt was made to express this in person,however, it did not materialize. Your soul mate was loved by all, as was visible at the Friday afternoon viewing. We wish all the Spence's a lightened heart and easier path in this world.

She attended to the needs of the audience while the band played, making sure everyone had food and drink. She will be missed by many.
