Daylonn Dudgeon Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 15, 2025.
Daylonn Maurese Dudgeon, 29, passed away on August 12, 2025, in New Carlisle, Ohio. Born on February 16, 1996, in Springfield, Ohio, Daylonn brought light and energy to those around him throughout his life.

He was the beloved son of David and Jennifer Dudgeon and Shelly Parsley. A devoted father, Daylonn's world revolved around his four children-Elias, Paisley, Zavier, and Wrenn. His love for them was unwavering and evident in every moment they shared together.

Daylonn shared close bonds with his siblings: David Dudgeon, Amber Dudgeon, Jykeera Jones, Shyann Jones, Tommy Hazelbaker, Jonathan "J.J." Hazelbaker, Rocky Dudgeon, Alexander Dudgeon, Chase Cosby and Quame Byrd. His presence brought laughter and strength to those closest to him.

From a young age, Daylonn displayed a deep love for reading. Books were more than a pastime, they reflected his keen intellect. He also took great joy during football season and following the New England Patriots.

More than anything, Daylonn cherished time spent with family. Whether gathered in conversation or simply enjoying each other's company, these moments were what he valued most.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2040 W. Second St., Xenia, OH 45385

I was walking down on Cincinnati Ave knowing that I have heart failure issue, I stopped by united dairy farmer to get some shake and bout to walk back home down toward Miami ave. But daylonn saw me walking and he passed by me then turned around pulled over asked me if I needed a ride home bc he was heading that way to my house to see my daughter, and I said no I´m fine, he said no hop in the car I´ll take you home. I promise no fooling around. I looked at him and he was smiling like he was giggling when I looked dumbfounded like u sureee? He was Iike haha I got you girl come on in hop in I´m takin u home and I hopped in the car and he took me home and got out of the car and opened the door for me to get out of his car and he was prancing around and run up to the front door and walked right in and went toward my daughter bedroom to call out I´m here Nikki! And they were talking in the room making plans for them go somewhere to do stuff. I´ll miss you daylonn, u was good friend and a wonderful cool respectful gentleman, I´ll never forget that moment you took the time to learn how to sign language to joke around with me. Also my condolences to his family and friends on here too.

So sorry to hear of Daylonn's passing. Daylonn was a very kind and respectful person. We were blessed to have him part of our family. Jenny and David, you did a great job of raising this young man. Sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

I remember just a little while ago, after I told you about this nice, cheap, beater with a heater lol. Not too long after that, you bought the car. You LOVED showing off your driving skills. Always had me holding onto my seat belt gripping the edge of the seat. Kinda like it was me driving and my grandma was in the passenger seat. You got pulled over and we decided to make it a memory because I had to run down Cincinnati early in the morning, barefoot, no bra, just to drive you back to my house so your car didn't get towed. I remember what u said to me...you said "oh, wow...did u teleport?". It was about 5 seconds after you hung up the phone and I was there. The second you called me I immediately threw on a t-shirt and shorts and ran out my front door and was already over 1/2 way to u when we ended the phone call. Later that morning, we ate McDonald's and you were just being a complete goofball. You always were. So funny, sarcastic, you always knew just what to do and say to make me smile. You've held me while I sobbed, and I held you when you sobbed. You were doing so good. You always showed up for me when I needed you Daylonn. Always. No matter what, you came. Dropped everything and showed up. That is just the kind of absolutely amazing, loving, big hearted, goofball person you were. I miss you so much. I never thought the day where I had to let you go, would come. Rest in Heaven love. I love you so much, I miss you more than I thought could even be humanly possible. Please, watch over your family. Until we meet again

~~ Nikki.
