Dayna Lynn Waltrip passed away peacefully on August 15, 2015, at the age of 32, while vacationing with family on a houseboat at Lake Shasta, CA.
Dayna was born on April, 20, 1983 in Santa Cruz, Ca. Dayna's open heart and carefree spirit continuously touched many hearts and souls. We will all cherish great memories of our time with her. She spent her whole life in Santa Cruz. Her greatest love was spending time with her two children, family and friends. She was an esthetician at Lavish Salon. She was a caretaker, enjoyed good food, animals, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. She cherished her children most of all. She was happiest when her home was filled with activity, friends, family, and children playing. She was a loyal daughter, sister, aunt, friend and an amazing mother. She had a captivating smile and dimples, which we will remember forever.
Dayna is survived by her two sons, Tyson Talley and Cayden Eldridge. Dayna is remembered by her Father, Ron Waltrip; Mother and Step-Father, Louise and John Filighera; Grandmother, Claire Waltrip; Sisters and Brother-in-Laws, Tanya Waltrip, Shaine and Art Helgueros, and Jennifer and Tony Parker. She is remembered by her boyfriend, Jeremy Eldridge and his two children Madison and Bryden, Nieces and nephews, Andrew, Briana, Hailey, Elizabeth, Anthony and Kelly. She is also remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who became soul mates Shawn Talley, Brandi and Martin Manuel- Calvo.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration and potluck for Dayna's life on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 4:00pm, at Twin Lakes Beach. It is respectfully requested that no alcohol be brought to the celebration. The family prefers contributions for Dayna's beautiful children be made in lieu of flowers at www.gofundme.com/9f23yw8u.
