I was just thinking about you and so many other friends lost. I usually put flowers at my grandparents site for all those gone and today remembered I haven't shared here in a while. Hope the family is doing well and that you are happy knowing the impact you had on many lives and that you are missed. R.I.P. De. I still struggle sometimes with the reality that you are gone. I pass by the gym in Hollywood where you would go look for your friend Madonna and the first time I went with you I thought it was actual Madinna and remember thinking, wow, you really have made it and we laughed because yes you were on your way and that was your special Madonna but not the one I was thinking of. Anyways, miss so many things about you, another story is when you came with your friend another actor to speak to the youth in a shelter to share your story of hope for them to follow their dreams and never give up. Miss and love you friend.

I am so saddened by this I hate that I am just finding this out I'm shocked he was a beautiful person had a passion for life and wanted to make sure people were treated fairly I met De'Angelo years ago he was always nice and a pleasure to be around I just always knew we would run into each other again but not like this. Even though I am finding out super late of this tragedy my prayers are with his family.

I remember working with D'Angelo on the set of the 8 mile film. He was a very spirited individual, full of life and a very courageous presence. He certainly had style. Along with many other the cast members, I do know that he brought a different prescence to what balanced this team out, I'm saddened to have heard that this. My deepest sympthies much love and respect to your entire family at this time. Much Love. Just know that he worked hard & earned respect.

I got to cross paths with DW in Cincinnati in daniel halls on the 10th floor when going to college back in 99. I liked doing everything with my video camera and we became friends last semester before he went to kent state. I did some demo tape for him on some of his singing and ill have to see if i can dig em up and post them. I knew when we hung out that he had the passion and was going to do something unique. I wish I wouldve stayed in touch but he spent less time on campus and so did I. We lost touch. Godspeed my friend.

The movie "The Salon" was on television
today. I enjoyed De'Angelo's performance
very much and went online to read more about him. I was stunned to read of his early passing. He was so talented and added so much to The Salon. I hope my few words about his talent and the enjoyment I had watching the film will bring his family some pride on his accomplishments. I am sorry for your loss. He seemed to be such a fun and energetic person.

It was a surprise for me to find out today October 16 2013 that DiAngelo died in 2008.It was painful. I meet him in Baltimore when he was shooting the movie The salon. I was the ladie who did his cornrows For the movie The salon on west Baltimore st , in Baltimore. The last day I did his hair, he ask me what he could do for me. I told him all I wanted was to see my name on the movie as his hair braider. DiAngelo used to ask my daugther Celine who was 4 years at the time if he looked like a gay, because that what he was playing on the movie and she said yes, and we all start laugthing. He was a nice, respectful, handsome man. I miss him for the little time I meet him. My condeleances to his family. RIP brother.

I met De'Angelo years ago in Hollywood when he first came out here we were teenagers running around in the st.'s of Hollywood. He was my friend I cared for him dearly he always made me laugh and we had a lil song we would always sing together. I miss him and I'm sad that it took me this long to find this out and get over the shock and write something down. My prayers are with his family and for him to have found peace.

For Wilson...Such a talent.
We really never go to know you.
WEEP NOT FOR ME
Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.
Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.
I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.
Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.
Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.
Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

My heartfelt sympathy goes to De'Angelo's family. As a former teacher, I was so proud of him. He always wanted to be in show business.
