Dearest friend, be at peace now Dean. I will always love, remember and respect you for the 40+years of friendship we have had. Love and strength to your beautiful son Kori and family. Xo

I am saddened by your passing my old mate. The years we spent as friends and all the mischief we got up to I've never forgotten. You are too young to be leaving this life behind but at peace. I have just returned from Australia after 35 years in the Army and home to look after Mum who is now disabled and I don't want her in a rest home. I was hoping to catch up with all my old school friends wherever they are. God rest your soul forever, I will visit your resting place when I am in Waipawa next.

So many fond memories of Dean, his love for Kori, his love for his parents and the holidays he spent with them, the visits from his Mum and friends, His smile, Dean's positive outlook on life. His speeding down the road on his scooter, Deans love of music and painting and the occasional Pokie machine. His spending time with Yohann and playing scrabble with Christine, and lets not forget his love of chess. Talks about the Navy, Sweetwater concerts and motoerbikes. You are such a beautiful soul Dean, You have not died, you have just slipped out of sight for a while.
