My condolences to Dean's wife and family. I've worked in the same circles with him for a while, but only recently got to know him through playing video games outside of work. You'll be missed, dude!

Dean was the kind of man who walked gently upon the earth. He loved deeply and laughed genuinely. Much love and many prayers go out to his family. I'm sure every time the wind embraces you, it will be the loving arms of Dean, and his ever-ready smile will always remain in your heart - as it will mine.

So very saddened to hear of Dean's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lisa and his boys. Dean and I shared a passion for teaching and helping our co-workers. We both taught the IT 101 classes in our respective locations. I had many conversations over the last several years as we kept each other up to date on various things in IT and Boeing. He loved Boeing and his co-workers. He especially loved Lisa and his boys. He was so proud of his boys and loved watching them grow up. He will be greatly missed.

Deeply saddened by this news. Dean was a coworker and friend, always upbeat, reliable, creative and fun. He will be missed by many, but I can't begin to imagine the void left for his family. My deepest sympathies to the whole family. May his memory be a blessing to you.

Still in shock. A genuinely kind, thoughtful, considerate and humble man. Really enjoyed our one-on-one meetings, I don't think there was ever a time that Dean didn't mention his kids and family - and with such affection. A privilege to have known and worked with him.

My deepest condolences to Lisa and the boys. You were his pride and joy, and you could tell, he loved his life and family. I had the privilege of first meeting Dean about 3 years ago, and I am so grateful to have known him. I would IM Dean to ask a question. We'd end up picking up the phone to chat. The question took 2 minutes, but our phone calls would last well past an hour. I learned pretty quickly If I didn't know who someone was at Boeing, Dean did. It never failed, I would tell him I was working with so and so, and he would immediately tell me, "I know him, I worked with him on such and such...Really great guy." He never had a negative thing to say about anyone. I will miss Dean's sense of humor. He knew how to keep us smiling, even when things were not going that well. Rest in Peace, my friend.

Thank you guys for the pictures, seeing our buddy smile in all those pictures shows what a loveable guy he was. It's very easy to be sad and shed lots of tears for an amazing human. I cherished our times together with Dean and Lisa. I talked to Dean two days before his vacation to let him know, I am coming to Charleston and looking forward to see Dean and the family. Brother Dean, you touched our hearts either by meeting us physically or virtually. I will miss you brother and love you. Lisa and the boys, please accept my condolences.

So thankful to have known Dean. He taught me a lot in a short time about the value of "building something back up" over "tearing something down" in tough times. Will cherish the short time we spent with Dean and family at a playground in Daniel Island, SC. Rest in peace friend.

Dean was my friend and co-worker for the last 18 years. We talked a lot as Dean did with everyone and I'll miss him dearly. I always enjoyed when we got to travel and see each other in person and have a couple beers together. When I recently left Boeing he made sure to schedule an hour of time with just me and him 1:1 to talk and reminisce a bit before I left. That's just who Dean was and I was lucky to call him my friend. I'm thankful I got to have that time with him. I'll miss you bud.

Lisa, I am so very sad, and I know that it is nowhere near what you and your boys are going through. I have had a family member die suddenly, and I know there are no words to help heal your grief. All I can offer is my empathy, and just a few memories of Dean.

I never met Dean in person, but I feel like I have. Over the past year, I have been working with him on Office 365 account setups and have been in many of the same meetings. He was always a breath of fresh air in the often boring meetings he always was able to make us laugh with some thing funny he would quip about. I loved the fact that he would slip in quips about literature and such. A couple months ago, I called him and asked him to show me the process he used to create accounts, and by the time he was finished, I understood it his knowledge and patience was outstanding. But the best thing about that conversation was when we were done with work, somehow we got talking about family, and he showed me pictures of you and the boys, he told me some stories, and he showed a picture of your house. I loved talking with him and his pride and love for you and the boys was unmistakable. He has left a hole in my life, and I am certain the hole in your lives is unimaginably vast.

My love and healing wishes to you and your family. Sonya Wilkins

There are just no words right now. Lisa, I adored your family. I wish you were closer so I could watch those boys grow up and be there to help. I still remember my visit to your home and reading to the boys. God Dean was proud of them and loved you ferociously. The love he had and beamed with was always so palpable and envelopes everyone around him. His wit and charm and humor and intelligence and kindness in EVERY interaction will sorely be missed. We were blessed to have him for the time we did and I know his presence and strength in spirit will carry with you and the boys to provide you love and support forever on.

How shocked I was to learn of Dean's passing. I have know Dean since I started a long time ago at Ridley Park. He was an excellent mentor for me and always a good friend. He always had a smile and great sense of humor. We kept in touch while I bounced around the country for work and we both landed back in Charleston. I am praying for Lisa and the kids. My brother from a different mother, will be greatly missed.
